VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS from the Cylinders Holding Group together with VÍTKOVICE IT SOLUTIONS from the VÍTKOVICE Group received important awards at the beginning of October within the Czech-Slovak Industry 4.0 Awards
In the Czech Republic, the competition is announced by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic. For the first time, it teamed up with Slovak colleagues from the Slovak Alliance for Innovative Economy (SAPIE), which led to a record number of entries from a wide range of industries. Recognition was given to companies and projects that make a significant contribution to digital transformation and innovation in industry.
VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS was ranked in the TOP 3 in the category "Implementation in own company". This is for companies that have successfully implemented solutions based on modern technologies and Industry 4.0 elements in their own operations. VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS succeeded with the design of a high-pressure hydrogen storage tank that includes algorithms for efficient gas utilization, automation elements, control, safety and balance software created by VÍTKOVICE IT SOLUTIONS. The companies developed a modular system for building storage facilities to store compressed hydrogen with autonomous operation and supervisory control with a global scope. This included the development of a new product on behalf of VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS - the 1100 bar cylinder.
In the "Integrator" category, which targets solution authors, service providers or system integrators who have developed and implemented a product or service based on innovative technologies and Industry 4.0 elements for end customers, VÍTKOVICE IT SOLUTIONS made it into the TOP 3. They received the award for the MESVIT project, which is an answer to the need for more efficient and smarter management of production processes in the metallurgy sector. The VÍTKOVICE IT SOLUTIONS solution helps to integrate various devices, collect and analyse data in real time, increase the efficiency of production processes and enable companies to better respond to market needs. As a result, companies increase their efficiency and competitiveness, reduce costs and energy consumption, and contribute to reducing their negative impact on the environment.
"The awarded projects are not only a proof of their innovative potential, but also an inspiration for other companies to follow the path of digital transformation, which is essential for the competitiveness of Czech companies," said Jiří Holoubek, member of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic and Chairman of the jury, commenting on this year's Industry 4.0 Awards.
